Uganda Cranes will touch down with their heads held high after thumping Tanzania 3-0 in the first leg of the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier played under floodlights on Saturday at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.

Goals from SC Villa’s Erisa Ssekisambu who managed to pick up a brace and a penalty by Vipers’ player maker Farouk Miya were enough to put Tanzania to the sword in their own grounds.

Erisa Ssekisambu put the Cranes into the lead after 37minutes into the game before returning to score his second on the evening in the 65th minute to double the lead.

Uganda Revenue Authority’s Frank Kalanda who came on as substitute for Robert Ssentongo won the Cranes a penalty after being fouled in the forbidden area. Twelve yards away from goal, Farouk Miya made no mistake as he netted the third for the Cranes in the 89th minute.
