Top Ugandan music supporting companies and individuals have been awarded in the Music Industry Cover Awards. The award event took place yesterday, 22nd June, 2015.
The awards are organized by the Music Industry Advisory Board in conjunction with The Ministry Of Gender, Labor and Social Development, where Hon. Wilson Muruuli Mukasa presided over the event which took place at the ministry’s boardroom at Simbamanyo House in Kampala.
The event was a follow up of the Music Industry Conference which took place on 19th May 2015 at Hotel Africana. At the conference the people who were present voted and 14 winners were selected.

Music Composer between 1961 and 2014 – Sylver Kyagulanyi
Music Supporting News Paper for the last 10 years – Bukedde
Audio Studio with most hits in the last 10 years – Dream Studios
Best supporting TV in the last 10 years – WBS
Best supporting Radio station in the last 10 years – CBS FM
Best music distributor for the last 20 years – Kasiwukira LTD
Best music promoter between 2005 and 2015 – Balaam Marketing Agency
Best video director for the last 10 years – JahLive Films
Best supporting Online Platform – Music Uganda
Best Ugandan Music Exporter – Alliance France’
Most influential artist today – Bobi Wine(Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert)
Outstanding International platforms performer – Jose Chameleone(Joseph Mayanja)
