Musicians could soon start holding concerts at Lugogo Cricket Oval again following reports that KCCA is planning to lift the ban on the venue.

Lugogo Cricket Oval was  banned from hosting any shows around June in 2014 because the place was marred with poor hygiene. KCCA cited that the venue lacked enough lavatories as the reason for the ban.

The news of lifting the ban on the venue could not have been any more welcome by stakeholders in the entertainment industry. Events security guru Dixon ‘Bond’ Okello was delighted with the news revealing security at Lugogo Cricket Oval is easier to monitor.

“As man involved in the planing of security for events, this decision is a wise one, because the cricket oval is easier to secure and manage with several access gates ,a perimeter wall and parking just across the road at Shoprite,” Dixon reacted to the news.
