Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa to replace Abdullah Mubiru at KCCA FC

Yesterday afternoon, Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa were unveiled at the KCCA headquarters (City Hall) as the new manager and assistant manager for the club respectively.

The development came barely a day after the alleged sacking of Abdullah Mubiru even when the club officials insist that the former KCC player and coach isn’t sacked yet like the media continues to claim.

The naming of the duo came just two days after the ‘Kasasiro boys’ were thumped 3-0 by SC Villa in the Uganda Cup final replay at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s loss meant that the 10 time league champions and eight time Uganda Cup winners KCCA FC completed the 2014/2015 season with out a trophy.

Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa have been at the Lugogo based club before, both as players and coaches afterwards.

Mutebi now returns to the club for his third spell having been in charge of the same side in 1997 and 2004 while former SC Villa boss, Sam Ssimbwa played for KCC from 1987 to 1995 before returning to the club as coach for two spells, in 2002 and in 2009.
