Celebrated couple of Mr. & Mrs Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Barbie and Bobi, today celebrate their second marriage anniversary.
Unfortunately for the couple, this time came when they are thousands of miles apart as Bobi Wine is in the US for a concert. The couple who cannot hide their excitement have been exchanging messages in their inboxes since midnight.
As though that was not enough, they have each posted on their own facebook timelines congratulatory messages to each other.
First was Barbie who wrote, “Two years ago, My dream came true. I had waited 10yrs to Say those magical words “I do”. You kept your word, you gave me a Royal wedding. The world stood still, All television in the nation broadcasted live, All press was in one spot! At our Wedding. Like a Princess, I walked through a Magnitude of people and together, We celebrated Love before EVERYONE. Am lucky I married you. You were my choice from the time I knew you well and you still are my only choice. My love for you grows each day and like I always say, You are my best Friend and NOTHING can come in between us. We have seen it all I guess. Happy Anniversary Bobi Wine. And I love you! GUILTY AS CHARGED.”
Bobi replied to the above message through the same platform saying, “At this date of every year, a beatiful feeling engulfs me, i feel like it’s just the two of us on this planet. When i first met you ,i did not imagine you could ever be mine…Now we are twelve years into a bbeatifull and fruitfull relationship that has over powered all challenges and prevailed. Today i am celebrating 2years with GOLD ON MY FINGER. Thanks for trusting me with your pracious hand in mariage….HAPPY ANNIVERSARY my BESTEST FRIEND.”
This comes a few days after President Museveni and first lady Janet Kataha celebrated their 40th marriage anniversary. We should remember the couple of Bobi and Barbie tied knot at Rubaga cathedral on 27th August 2011 amidst a very big congregation.
